Paint

I found a 1961 Shasta on eBay that has a nice color
set up I am thinking of using on my trailer. Usually
the Z stripe is grey but I think this color combo
would look good (a newly painted version).

62 shasta for sale

There is a 1962 Shasta for sale here
on eBay. I greatly prefer my smaller 1956 Shasta but i do like
the colors of the one on sale. I'm not sure how soon I will
be able to get my Shasta painted but I am already thinking
about what colors. I had considered blue OR red but not a
combination of both until I saw this one>

Wendy's Shasta

As anyone with a new vintage trailer invariably does,
I have been looking at lots of web sites for others
who have been through the same process I am about to
embark on. One of my favorite site's is:

Wendy's 1959 Shasta Travel Trailer.

It has a lot of photo's of her start to finish process-
buying the trailer, getting it home, renovating it (with
help from her Dad) and then the trailer in use at some
really lovely places.

New Baby

I have discovered that buying a vintage trailer is a little
like having a baby. At first, you just keep thinking about
how cute they are and what fun you will have! Then reality
sinks in and you realize this is going to be more work (and
more money) than you thought . . . But you are still glad
you did it!

She's Home!

We picked up my Shasta today! Her former owner, Lisa,
was a doll. She took me to get the right adapter for
the tail lights and was just one of those really friendly,
down-to-earth people who you can't help but like!

So the Shasta is actually in better condition than I
expected but there is quite a bit to do. So far I know
I need to:

- fix the screen on the door
- replace the screen on the window by stove
- replace the floor
- find original tail lights
- recover the dinette seats
- purchase a water tank
- replace the metal Shasta emblem
- repaint

That's my initial list. I'm sure I will have more to add
as I go along.

My 1956 Shasta - "Daisy"

Yesterday I purchased a 1956 Shasta trailer, 12 feet long,
6 feet high and pretty cute! From the photos it looks like
it is in pretty good condition. I get to pick it up on Thursday.
